  • Welcome!

I truly love flowers and I feel like this site allows me to show you a bit more of who I am on a weekly basis. But first, a bit about who I am and what I do…

I am a wedding and event florist, located in beautiful Portland, Oregon. My style is classic & refined, but I can be a wild child too. Sometimes all it takes is one word or picture to get me thinking about translating it into a one of a kind event for you. I have been creating beautiful floral designs for the last 10 years and my goal is to provide each client with the best experience, creative ideas & fresh designs.

Please take some time to look through my portfolio and stop by the “notes” section to see what other brides have to say. Feel free to leave a comment or contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

AK Cake Design

I wanted to show the talents of Allison of AK Cake Design today. Every time I see one of her cakes I am amazed at the attention to detail she puts into each and every cake. Everything is made from scratch using a combination of local, organic, and imported ingredients, including Valrhona cocoa powder, Callebaut chocolate, Nielsen-Massey vanilla, local cage-free eggs, and organic milk. Some of the yummy flavors to die for are: chocolate butter cake, banana, red velvet, vanilla cake – if you don’t see the flavor you want, just ask. Fillings include: swiss meringue buttercream (a multitude of flavors), chocolate ganache, fruit purees. Prices vary by design complexity and guest count.

They truly are one of a kind masterpieces. The black & white cake shown on the right is one she did for my big 40th birthday bash – it was truly stunning! Give her a call @ 503.741.9241 to set up a consultation, see her portfolio or for general information.

Modern Wedding

I know I’ve been MIA for quite some time, but I’ve been crazy “life” busy.  Today I wanted to feature a wedding from a while ago. I still love this wedding and the couple just happens to be the cutest ever. The images are from the lovely and talented Alexis from Jasmine Photography. Enjoy!

Sunshine yellow!

Just wanted to spread a bit of cheer to help get you through the weekend.  It’s been crazy hectic around here, so sorry for the lack of posts.

Golden Birthday!

Today I’m going to show a  personal side of my life. My daughter Ava turned 5. This was not just any old birthday either, she had her golden birthday! Where you turn the same age as your birth date… it only happens once in your lifetime!

My little girl is truly 100% girl. she is a sparkle-tastic girl and loves all things pink and sparkly. She decided to have a flower party, she loves “helping” me when I have things going on and thought it would be fun for her friends to see too. I’m not going to lie, I had grand dreams about how this would all go…all the girls would go home with these nice and tidy arrangements and learn something….HA!  Once they had the flowers in their hot little hands, it was one giant stuff into the foam. UGH! I had to learn control, or lack there of, I should say.  They had a great time and it was fun to see what they created.

Mmmm. The yummy treats were from Kimberly at Truly Scrumptious via Annette at Swanky Tables. Annette rocked this table for me, candy jars filled with gummy butterflies, Jelly Bellies and much more! Cupcakes, cookies and brownie pops..oh my! It really was the hit of the party! Thanks for letting me share Ava’s big day with you all.

A Swanky Birthday Party!

Good Morning! I hope everybody had a safe & relaxing holiday weekend. I had the pleasure of working with Annette from Swanky Tables again. She was working a birthday dessert table for a client turning 70. Pinks, purples and a garden party theme, it turned out super yummy & beautiful! The one thing about helping Annette out is that I can’t seem to figure out how she cannot taste test all the desserts – such will power! I can’t wait for next weekend, my daughter is turning 5 and I’ll actually get to eat some of those yummy treats, as Swanky tables will be putting together a super cool flower dessert table for us! Head over to her blog for more details about the 70th garden party, which I’m sure she’ll post soon.
